Junior Open Water Diver

Who is this course for?
The Junior Open Water Diver course is designed for anyone between the ages of 12 & 15 years old who would like to become a Certified SCUBA Diver.

Are there any Pre-Requisites for this course?
The Pre-Requisites for this course are:

• You must be at between the ages of 12 & 15 years old
• You must be able to tread water continuously for two minutes
• You must be able to swim 50 metres continuously.

What is the difference between the Junior Open Water Diver course and the standard Open Water Course?
In the Junior Open Water Diver course, students have stricter dive depth limits and must constantly supervised by a Divemaster or Assistant Instructor when in the water, even after completing the course.

Am I allowed to take my Open Water Diver course while my child or children are taking the Junior Open Water Diver course?
Absolutely! In fact, we recommend that families take their courses together. After all, the family that dives together stays together!

What does this course involve?
Each course will consist of one academic class, three in-pool classes and four open water dives. These will be booked during your first class.

What do I need to bring with me?
All you need to bring with you is an old t-shirt, a bathing suit, and a towel. Before beginning your class, we will ask you for your height and weight so we can bring the best fitting gear and everything else you will need for the best possible experience!
