At Dive with Mar, we offer all levels of SCUBA courses and clinic’s to suit all your SCUBA needs. Your SCUBA experience begins with us in a friendly atmosphere for ease of learning. Depending on the time of year, we will use the pool at the YMCA in London or Sarnia, the Mooretown Sport Complex or even our private outdoor pool (when weather permits). We offer private weekday and weekend courses. We structure our courses around your needs and your own individual scheduling requirements. Not everyone is meant to become a diver; but if this is your dream, let us help you get there.

Basic Courses
Discover Snorkeling
This course is for anyone who wants to learn the proper way to use their mask, fins & snorkel and feel confident in the water.
Discover Scuba Diving
This is for anyone who wants to try SCUBA Diving in a controlled environment with no commitment to purchasing gear or enrolling in a course.
Open Water Diver
The Open Water Diver course is for anyone age 16+ who wants to become a certified SCUBA Diver.
Open Water Refresher
The Open Water Refresher course is designed for any already Certified Diver who has not been diving for more than six months.
Open Water Referral
The Open Water Referral program is designed for someone looking to complete their Open Water Diver course in a different environment. Dive with Mar accepts referrals from, and offers referrals to, other dive instructors.
Children's Courses
SCUBA Discovery Program
The SCUBA Discovery Program is designed for children 8-16 years old who are interested in trying SCUBA Diving for the first time.
Junior Open Water Diver
The Junior Open Water Diver course is for anyone between 12 & 15 years old who wants to be certified as a SCUBA Diver.
Advanced Courses
Advanced Open Water Diver
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is for anyone who is already certified as a SCUBA Diver and is ready to learn more.
Rescue Diver
In the Rescue Diver course, we help you on your way to being more aware in the water and prepare you for some uneasy situations.
Emergency First Response (EFR)
This course designed for all SCUBA Divers: Learn the basics of how to be ready for different types of dive emergencies and you'll make a great dive buddy.
DAN Oxygen Provider
Designed for the SCUBA Diver who wants to really be complete, DAN O.P is teaches you how to manage different dive emergencies and give your dive buddies the best thing you can give them: OXYGEN!
Solo Diver
Sometimes you just can't find yourself a buddy to dive with. Learn how to dive SOLO with all of the proper equipment.
Professional Courses
Divemaster
Divemaster is the first step in your professional diving career. Working closely with the instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional.
Assistant Instructor
The Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the Instructor Development Course (IDC). You'll not only gain additional experience as a professional but you'll also start learning about diver education.
Open Water SCUBA Instructor
Bring yourself to a new level by helping other accomplish their life goals and teaching them how to SCUBA Dive.
Specialty Courses
Nitrox Diver
The Nitrox Diver course is an entry level course for divers wishing to utilize the enriched air Nitrox as a breathing gas. Little else has impacted recreational diving more than the introduction of Nitrox, allowing for more time underwater.
Ice Diver
Looking for an extreme dive opportunity? Then here you go! The Ice Diver Specialty certification allows you to go where most would not.
Underwater Photographer & Videographer
If you’re new to the camera or video scene, you might find this course gives you a new purpose to being underwater: bringing your memories home to share!
Night Diver
Night diving can be the biggest thrill you can encounter underwater! A reef looks so different by night than by day. The different fish and sea life you see will leave you in awe!
Search and Recovery Diver
Ever lost something underwater or had to help get something out to the water? This can have its challenges. Learn and practise techniques to help you find what you're looking for!
Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)
Move over James Bond! This has got to be the coolest gizmo that divers get to use! Go further than swimming could ever take you!
Wreck Diver
Diving around a wreck, looking at history, is a lot of fun! This very beneficial course teaches you how to navigate around a wreck in order to make for a safer dive.
Drift Diver
Drifting is... well, can you say "effortless diving"? What a big thrill: you can cover more distance with little to no effort.
Dry Suit Diver
Thinking of extending you bottom time (because you won't be so cold) or want to dive in the off season? The Dry Suit Diver clinic is just for you! Many divers go out, buy themselves a dry suit and think they can figure it out by themselves in about 15-20 dives. Why not just learn the how to get in control of your suit as soon as you can? That way, you'll be using and enjoying your dry suit, not struggling with it.
Deep Diver
What do you do once you have dove on everything in the top 100 ft that you can reach and you now want more? It's time to go deeper! The deeper you go, the better the wrecks you will find! They are more intact and less divers have been here.
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Would you like to be in better control in the water when you dive? Well then, this is the course for you! Take the time to practise your buoyancy and perfect your dive skills!
Technical Courses
Technical diving involves advancing past the depth and time limits set by recreational, or sport, diving. These courses are recommended for advanced divers only.Advanced Nitrox Diver
Now you’re planning to dive deeper dives... like 130 ft deep! You want to do it safely but you also want lots of dive time! This course will teach you how!
Decompression Procedures Diver
In this course, you will be looking at what some call the "Dark Side" of diving but we know as diving past the recreational diving limits. This is very challenging. We will take you from 130 to 150 ft bringing your skills to an Explorer's Level!
Extended Range Diver
This is the next step up from Decompression Procedures. You’re going even deeper, from 150-180 ft. Again, this is very challenging. We will be continuing with more discipline and bringing up your skills to an even higher Explorer's Level.
Tri-Mix Diver (Formerly Intro to Tri-Mix)
Now we introduce a new gas to what we breathe and taking things from 150-200 ft. Take your skills to the Ultimate Level!
